Steamtown National Historic Site - Scranton, PA
Photos from 2006-2010, featuring Canadian National 2-8-2 #3254 (CLC built 1917) and Canadian Pacific 4-6-2 #2317 (MLW built 1923) on excursions from Scranton to Moscow, Tobyhanna, East Stroudsburg, and Delaware Water Gap over the Delaware–Lackawanna Railroad, plus an excursion to Nicholson over Canadian Pacific. Steamtown has been operated by the National Park Service since 1995, including a museum and rolling stock collection at the former yard and shops of the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad in downtown Scranton. As of 2012, CN #3254 is Steamtown's only operable steam locomotive, with Baldwin 0-6-0 #26 (last ran 1999) and Boston & Maine 4-6-2 #3713 (last ran 1958) undergoing restoration and CP #2317 (taken out of service in 2010) awaiting overhaul.
