This 623-foot tunnel was built in 1878 by the Pittsburgh, New Castle & Lake Erie with narrow gauge track. It was converted to 3-rail track in 1882 and finally closed in 1913 after constructing a parallel double-track cut.

P&W Bakerstown Tunnel
The tunnel's south portal is on the left through the brush. The active right-of-way uses the adjacent double-track cut that replaced the tunnel in 1913.
