Heber Valley Railroad - Heber City, UT
Photos from February 2007, featuring Union Pacific 2-8-0 #618 (Baldwin built 1907) with freight trains between Heber City and Provo Canyon. Since 1970, the Heber Valley Railroad (originally Heber Creeper) has operated tourist trains over 16 miles of a former Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad branch built in 1899. Excursions are currently diesel-powered as both steam locomotives (618 & 75) have been out-of-service since 2008. For train schedules, visit the Heber Valley Railroad Website.
